Salary: £28,000

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team and take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process. You'll ensure our employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with current legislation, while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll processing to ensure all payments, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Keep payroll information up to date, including details for new starters, leavers, and employee changes.

• Handle payroll queries from staff and managers quickly and in a professional manner.

• Make sure all payroll activities meet legal requirements for tax, National Insurance, and pensions.

• Produce payroll reports and support monthly and annual payroll tasks.

• Work closely with external payroll and pension providers, as well as other relevant contacts.

• Assist with payroll audits and help improve systems and procedures.

• Protect sensitive payroll data and follow GDPR and company privacy policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a payroll-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Proficient in payroll software.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Discreet and professional when handling sensitive employee information.
